The road closure on A350 at Charlton Marshall remains in place – signed diversion routes
Our engineers have been working hard over the weekend to repair gas escapes located on short section of steel 8″ gas pipe located on the A350 at Charlton Marshall, Blandford. Due to additional gas escapes identified, repairs are no longer a permanent solution, urgent replacement of this section of pipe is now required to avoid further gas escapes.
Work has started today to replace the 100 metres of gas pipe; we are hoping to complete these works by Monday 6 July.
For everyone’s safety the road closure will remain in place for the duration.
This closure will mean:
* No through vehicle access past the closure on the A350 in either direction – a signed diversion route will be in place * Vehicle access to properties within the area of road closed will be maintained, our site team will be liaising with properties affected
Bus routes will be affected – please contact your service provider for the latest updates/changes.
These are complicated engineering works on a large diameter medium pressure gas main; our engineers will be doing everything they can to complete the replacement work as quickly and as safely as possible.
We are sorry for the inconvenience this work will cause and thank you for your patience and understanding.
